Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has commenced a two-day visit to Delhi, aiming to attract more capital and enhance foreign investment in the state. His main objective is to present investment opportunities in Odisha while engaging with domestic and international entrepreneurs. Today, he will launch his first roadshow in the capital.
During this visit, the Chief Minister plans to meet ambassadors from various countries and invite foreign investors to the Odisha Conclave of Excellence scheduled for January. Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swayum and departmental officials will join him at the investor conference.
Before leaving for Delhi, the Chief Minister announced, “We have completed discussions with several entrepreneurs,” emphasizing that Odisha has secured ₹45,000 crore in capital over the past hundred days. The Excellence Odisha conclave, formerly known as the Make in Odisha initiative, will take place on January 28 and 29, 2025.
In Delhi, the Chief Minister will hold one-on-one discussions with investors, aiming for an ambitious investment target of ₹5 lakh crore over the next five years. He will focus on attracting investments in food processing, IT, and the chemical and petrochemical sectors. Additionally, he intends to highlight Odisha’s favorable investment ecosystem and the advantages of establishing industries in the state.
The Chief Minister confirmed the dates for the Excellence Odisha-2025 conclave, which rebrands the BJP government’s previous ‘Make in Odisha’ initiative as ‘Utkarsh Odisha.’
