Bengaluru police have taken significant action in the suicide case of AI engineer Atul Subhash, arresting his wife Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, and her brother. The arrests took place in different locations: Nikita was apprehended in Gurugram, while her mother and brother were arrested in Allahabad. All three were brought to Bengaluru and produced in court, where they were sent to judicial custody.
On December 13, Bengaluru police posted a notice outside Nikita Singhania’s residence in Jainpur. However, when Nikita returned, her mother and brother locked themselves inside the house, fearing arrest.
Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old AI engineer, tragically took his own life on December 9 in his Bengaluru apartment. He left behind a 24-page suicide note and an hour-and-a-half-long video message. Despite working for a reputed company like Accenture, Atul had been under immense mental stress due to his wife’s demand for a Rs 3 crore divorce settlement.
In his suicide note, Atul accused his wife and mother-in-law of causing him distress, making serious allegations regarding financial matters and false accusations.
