President Murmu’s Visit Brings Traffic Restrictions and School Closures in Puri

President Draupadi Murmu will visit Puri this morning to participate in several events. For her visit, Puri has implemented strict traffic restrictions, especially for the Navy Day program.

Puri Police has redirected traffic flow to ensure smooth arrangements. Four-wheelers arriving from Bhubaneswar will park at Talbaniya via Malati Patpur, while two-wheelers will use the bypass road and park near Hotel Strolli. Vehicles arriving from the Konark side will park in the market area, and those coming from Brahamgiri will park near Strolli as well. Pass holders will have designated parking spaces at Jail Road and Sharadhabali, while blue pass holders can use the parking areas at Hotel Nilachal Ashok and SCS College. Puri Police has placed signage at every intersection to guide the public effectively.

Puri SP has urged residents and visitors to follow police instructions. In preparation for the events, the district administration has closed all public, private, primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools under Puri municipality for the day. Schools such as Mothers Public School, Lordshree English Medium School, Chandrasekhar Academy, and St. Xavier’s School, located near the city, will also remain closed.

However, the PARAKH exam conducted by NCERT will proceed as scheduled, as it is a national-level program. Candidates can access the test centre from 7 AM to 12 noon to complete their exams without disruption.
