Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a historic visit to Ukraine, following his trip to Poland. He arrived in Ukraine yesterday and delivered a message of peace to the country, which is currently facing conflict. During his visit, Modi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Modi invited President Zelenskyy to visit India. Zelenskyy expressed his eagerness to travel to India and asked for India’s support in the ongoing war with Russia.
In their meeting, Modi emphasized India’s support for peace, while Zelenskyy requested India’s backing for Ukraine. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Zelenskyy has sought India’s support. Modi’s visit is the first time an Indian Prime Minister has traveled to Ukraine since its independence in 1991. This visit has garnered global attention, as it occurs amid the ongoing conflict.
