Devotees are filled with great enthusiasm to witness Srijiu on the first day of the New Year. The Jansamudra has become a key gathering point, with devotees eagerly taking darshan of Bada Thakur. Due to the large crowd, the Dwarfita policy was implemented at 12:30 pm yesterday to manage the heavy influx, ensuring the darshan took place smoothly.
The Puri administration has made extensive preparations to handle the crowd. Devotees can be seen lining up from Market Street for their turn at the darshan. Special measures have been put in place for traffic control and parking, and Puri Police have ensured smooth management of the vehicles arriving in the city.
As 2025 dawned, people across various locations welcomed the New Year by witnessing the first rays of the sun, filled with new hopes and aspirations. Odisha’s beaches, including Puri, Konark, and Gopalpur, were teeming with people, and other tourist and religious sites across the country saw similar gatherings.
