Rajinikanth’s return to South cinema feels like a festival for fans. His last film, Jailer, captivated audiences and earned 600 crores globally. Now, with Vettaiyan, expectations soar even higher.
The film will hit theaters on October 10, generating significant buzz. Directed by TJ Gyanvel, Vettaiyan features Amitabh Bachchan alongside Rajinikanth. Pre-booking has already begun, with tickets selling rapidly. The film has achieved remarkable success in advance sales, with reports indicating that tickets worth 50 lakhs have already sold.
In Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth portrays a police officer, while Amitabh Bachchan plays a lawyer. The cast also includes Fahadh Fazil and Rana Daggubati. On Monday, ticket sales surged dramatically, showing a 102% increase in advance bookings within 24 hours. According to the Times of India, ticket sales reached Rs 3.36 crore on Monday, jumping to Rs 6.81 crore by Tuesday.
The film has earned Rs 5.8 crore from block bookings, bringing its total advance booking earnings to Rs 12.51 crore on the first day.
Vettaiyan will release on October 10, where it will face competition from Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra, set to release on October 11. Additionally, Rajkumar Rao and Vicky Kaushal’s Vicky Vidya will also debut on the same day.
