Indian agents reportedly collaborate with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Just hours after India decides to withdraw its diplomat from Canada, the Canadian police make serious allegations. Agents of the Indian government accuse the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) of working with Lawrence Bishnoi to instigate terror in Canada.
According to media reports, RCMP Assistant Commissioner Brigitte Gaubin states, “We have observed organized crime at play, and a specific gang is responsible. The Bishnoi gang connects with agents from India.”
She further notes that since September 2023, they have warned 13 individuals about threats to their lives. “Approximately 8 people face arrest for murder, and at least 22 others have been detained on extortion charges. Some of these individuals maintain ties to the Indian government,” she adds.
Meanwhile, RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheim reveals that Federal Police Deputy Commissioner Mark Flynn seeks to meet his Indian counterpart this week. Flynn aims to discuss violent extremism and present evidence of Indian agents’ involvement in criminal activities in Canada. However, his attempts fail. Consequently, Deputy Commissioner Flynn meets with National Security and Intelligence Advisor Nathalie Drouin, Foreign Affairs Minister David Morrison, and Indian government officials.
In response, Canada dismisses India’s allegations as baseless. India warns that it reserves the right to take strict measures in response to these claims.
