KC Tyagi, a close aide of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, has resigned as JDU’s national spokesperson. Nitish Kumar quickly appointed Rajeev Ranjan as the new spokesperson, confirmed by a letter from party general secretary Afaq Ahmed Khan.
Though Tyagi cited personal reasons, sources suggest deeper issues. His controversial statements, especially on Israel-Palestine, reportedly caused tension within the party. Tyagi’s differing views on several issues also put the party in a difficult position.
Known for his strong support of Nitish Kumar during the split from the India Alliance, Tyagi has a long history with him. His resignation has raised concerns about a possible rift within JDU ahead of key elections.
