The police were wearing badges and flashing people. Bardi was robbing lakhs of rupees by threatening him. But people have caught 7 such robbers dressed as fake police and arrested the real police. One such incident happened in Rubena village under Mohangiri Phandi on the border of the Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts.
Seven robbers dressed in police uniforms went to Ripa Majhi’s house in Ruben village. A young man and a young woman were hiding in the house, threatening to flash and show red eyes. He also broke into the house saying that we would search. Later, they ransacked Ripa’s house and looted Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand in cash from her box and returned.
Suspecting this, the locals arrested 3 robbers with bolero rolls. Later, they arrested the said 3 people in Mohangiri Fundi. As the robbers are from Kandhamal district, the police are continuing further investigation. . While the remaining 4 people escaped with the money, the police are trying to find them in different places.
