Shots were fired in Bhadrak, where miscreants shot a young man dead on Koithkhola Kishore Prasad Street under the jurisdiction of Dhamra police station. Another injured youth has been admitted to the hospital. Among the victims, Rajendra Mohapatra from Kishore Prasad village sustained a serious gunshot wound to the head.
Yesterday, while Rajendra stood by the roadside, attackers approached and shot him in the head before fleeing the scene. His family quickly rescued him and admitted him to Basudebpur Medical Centre. Due to his critical condition, he has since been transferred to Bhadrak.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
