The police discovered the bodies of a famous YouTuber couple, Selvaraj (45) and his wife Priya (40), inside their home in Parsala, Kerala, under suspicious circumstances on Sunday. The couple, known for their YouTube channel ‘Sellu Family,’ was found after neighbours reported a foul odour emanating from their house, prompting them to file a missing person complaint.
Upon arrival, officers opened the door and found Selvaraj’s body hanging, while Priya’s body lay on the bed. Preliminary investigations indicate that the couple may have died two days prior to the discovery.
Neighbours revealed that the couple kept to themselves and had married off their daughter last year. They described Selvaraj and Priya as simple-minded individuals. The police suspect the incident may be a suicide, but they await the results of the post-mortem report to determine the cause of death. Investigators found no suicide note in the room and are reviewing CCTV footage from around the house. The entire case remains under investigation.
Selvaraj, who worked as a construction worker, created videos alongside his wife, amassing over 18,000 followers on YouTube. They uploaded more than 1,400 videos on social media. Two days before their deaths, Selvaraj posted a final video featuring a heartbreaking song that depicted themes of death.
