Late last night, a fatal accident occurred near Darkhal on the Anandpur-Ghatgaon road in Keonjhar district. A speeding truck collided with a stationary truck from behind, leaving the rear truck’s driver trapped inside the vehicle.
The crash took place at the Anandpur-Ghatgaon road junction on National Highway 20. The impact crushed the front end of the rear truck completely, while the driver of the stationary truck fled the scene.
Reports say fire department personnel reached the site in the morning and found the driver still trapped. Rescuers are working to free him, though he had not yet been extricated at the time of this report. The accident has disrupted traffic on this route.
