Union Minister Criticizes NC-Congress Alliance as Desperate

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing stability to Jammu and Kashmir, stating that this has allowed senior Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, to dine peacefully at Ahdus restaurant in Srinagar. According to Dr. Singh, the Modi government’s efforts have normalized the situation in the valley, creating an atmosphere of peace

During an interview with a private channel, Dr. Singh described the recent alliance between the National Conference (NC) and the Congress as a product of political desperation. He argued that this “unholy alliance” has abandoned its ideology for political survival, prioritizing self-preservation over the service of the people.

Dr. Singh further criticized the alliance, claiming it was formed under the guise of power and lacked concern for the aspirations and needs of Jammu and Kashmir’s citizens. He suggested that their implicit agenda aims to restore the divisive framework of two flags and two constitutions.

The Union Minister also stated that the Congress should thank PM Modi for completing Jawaharlal Nehru’s unfinished task by abrogating Article 370. He noted that Nehru had once remarked that Article 370 would eventually disappear, but it continued to serve vested interests until its abrogation.

Dr. Singh emphasized that the historic decision to abrogate Article 370 brought justice and equal rights to a large population in Jammu and Kashmir, who had been deprived of these for the past seven decades. Over the last five years, he noted significant changes in democratic governance, development, and security in the region.
