Police arrested a 24-year-old woman for threatening to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She warned that if Adityanath did not resign within 10 days, she would kill him like Mumbai politician Baba Siddiqui.
The investigation, initiated in Mumbai, led to the apprehension of Fatima Khan from Thane. Authorities traced the threats to her phone number. According to police sources, Fatima holds a BSc degree in Information Technology but suffers from mental illness.
Fatima lives with her family in Thane, where her father supports them through his timber business. Police have detained Fatima and are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
The Mumbai traffic police control room received a message about the threat against Yogi Adityanath. A WhatsApp message warned that if he did not resign from his position as Chief Minister within 10 days, she would shoot him dead, just like Baba Siddiqui.
Recently, Maharashtra NCP senior leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in front of his son’s office. Medical personnel declared him dead after his immediate transfer to a medical centre.
In the wake of this incident, several leaders and celebrities have received threats indicating that the situation could mirror that of Baba Siddiqui. Previously, Salman Khan and MP Pappu Yadav also faced death threats, and now Yogi Adityanath is receiving similar threats.
