Terror grips Delhi as another bomb threat emerges. Two private schools, including DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka in West Delhi, received threatening emails this morning around 7 a.m. The sender warned of bombing the schools and demanded $30,000 to prevent the attack.
The schools immediately sent students home, prioritizing safety. Delhi Police and fire department teams arrived at the schools, conducting thorough searches. Despite the alarm, the police later confirmed no explosives or suspicious materials were found, labelling the threat a hoax.
Authorities are actively tracking the sender, working to identify the IP address and source of the emails. Security concerns have intensified, especially as these incidents follow an explosion in a Rohini school last October. Similar threats were made to DPS RK Puram on February 2, 2024, adding to the ongoing anxiety among Delhi schools.
Delhi has witnessed multiple bomb threats this year targeting schools, hospitals, and aeroplanes. While most have proven false, authorities take every precaution to ensure public safety.
