Today marks Navy Day, and the Navy is all set to showcase its swimming and combat skills in the shallow waters of the Puri Sea. Meanwhile, President Draupadi Murmu will witness this impressive display of naval power. Moreover, preparations have been finalized at Puri’s Blue Flag Beach for the grand event.
Furthermore, naval forces will execute manoeuvres across water, land, and air. The program features 15 warships and 40 aircraft demonstrating advanced war tactics. Notably, key participants include INS Jalsa, the formidable destroyer INS Delhi, INS Shakti, INS Saryu, INS Arihant, and INS Satpura.
In addition to this, fighter jets such as the Hawk, Sea King, and MiG-29, along with helicopters like the Chetak and MS-60, will exhibit the Navy’s aerial prowess. The Navy’s eye-catching military manoeuvres are scheduled between 4:07 PM and 5:24 PM today.
Meanwhile, President Draupadi Murmu will attend as the chief guest for this landmark event. Significantly, this is the first time Odisha is hosting such a large-scale Navy Day celebration, and public enthusiasm is soaring. Moreover, the theme for this year’s Navy Day is “Power and Capability through Innovation and Indigenization.”
To ensure safety and smooth proceedings, security arrangements have been intensified in Puri. Additionally, all MLAs will travel to Puri by bus to join in observing the Navy Day celebrations.
