A team, acting on the orders of the Delhi High Court, raided a fake tea factory operating under the guise of an auto parts shop. The raid took place yesterday near Agarwala Street under Jaleswar police station in Balasore district. Authorities seized packaging machines, polythene bags with logos of various tea companies, and other materials.
The factory was allegedly purchasing low-cost tea from the market and selling it with the logos of well-known tea brands. Tata Tea Company had filed a complaint with the Delhi High Court, prompting the court to direct the raid. During the operation, the team, with the assistance of the Jaleswar police, uncovered the fraudulent activity.
