
In northern China, cases of H9N2 are increasing and respiratory disease is spreading among children. The Government of India has warned about this. Earlier, the director of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Dr. Ajay Shukla advised people to be cautious and maintain hygiene, now the Government of India has asked all the state governments and Union Territories to be prepared.
According to the national media, the central government has written a letter to all states and union territories and issued strict instructions to keep hospitals ready. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavaya said that the Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the rise in respiratory diseases among children in China. In this letter, the Ministry of Health has directed all the states to thoroughly check the health services in the hospitals. Apart from this, it is also recommended to be more careful during influenza and winter season. All states and union territories have been asked to check the availability of beds, influenza drugs and vaccines, medical oxygen, antibiotics, PPE etc in the hospitals.
