Police and the Abkari team destroyed marijuana worth ₹8 crore in Pengam village under Mohana police station of Gajapati district. Acting on a tip-off about illegal cannabis cultivation on the nearby hills, the team raided the area and cleared around 42 acres of land used for the cultivation.
This action follows the successful removal of cannabis cultivation in the Adaba and R. Udayagiri police station areas. The “Green Clean” campaign, now active in the Mohana police station area, aims to eliminate illegal marijuana plantations. Authorities confirmed that the campaign will continue until the region is free from such activities.
