The ambulance lost control and hit the dumper. One person died in the accident while three others were seriously injured. The accident took place near Neulpur railway overbridge near Chandikol, NH 16, Jajpur district. The injured have been shifted to Cuttack.
Last night, an ambulance from West Bengal was coming towards Bhubaneswar with a patient. A dumper was parked near the NH 16 Newalpur railway overbridge. The ambulance lost its weight and hit the dumper. A patient in the ambulance died and three of his relatives were seriously injured in the accident.
The police and the fire brigade arrived and rescued the injured and admitted them to the health centre. Later they were shifted to Cuttack as their condition became critical. The police have recovered the body and sent it for autopsy and are investigating the incident.
